Case in point: Victoria Pier is still running strong.
A beach bar in the heart of Mtl, VP offers an endless stripe of sand for the city dweller in search of a vacation vibe. With pastel long chairs and oversized parasols overlooking the Saint Lawrence river, this new hangout spot offers sunshine and a gorgeous view (when Mother Nature allows) to the momentary vacationers.
While there is no water access, bikinis and speedos are still encouraged. Foot showers and full size vapor sprays are there to cool off the overheated.
The masterminds behind this new piece of urban landscape are none other than those behind Suwu/Le Mal Nécessaire, so you can be sure that the beach bar offers solid drinks.
So grab one, sit back and relaaaax. VP is family friendly as of 11 am, but turns 18+ after 5pm. Access is free of charge on days with no events.
