Bánh Xèo Recipe Ingredients

The batter

  • 2 and 1/4 cups rice flour
  • 6 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 can of coconut milk (400 ml)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • scallions

The filling

  • pork belly (very fatty)
  • shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon chicken stock powder (per protein)
  • 1 pinch of salt (per protein)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (per protein)
  • freshly grounded black pepper
  • 1 medium size shallot
  •  big lettuce
  • olive oil
