Thịt kho tàu (Vietnamese caramelized pork)

Tết, Vietnamese’s Lunar New Year, is the time to cook and share lots of fabulous food. One of which is thịt kho tàu, a caramelized pork and eggs braised for hours until extremely tender. It’s a rather convenient dish since it is best cooked ahead of time, and gets more flavourful at each reheat (until the pot is emptied).

Thịt kho tàu recipe ingredients : The meat – 1kg pork belly – 1 lime – 10 g palm sugar – 2 cloves garlic – 2 shallots – 2.5 tablespoon fish sauce – 0.5 tablespoon chicken stock – 0.5 teaspoon salt – grounded pepper – 1 chili – 1 can of coconut water
